Just wondering if anyone is playing in it....
all the good chess players seem to live in Melbourne

I finally found a good point for being a country bumpkin lol

Hey Miranda, you gave me a good reason (plus the healthy living, fresh air etc etc) to go country myself since I am a hopeless chess player! :)
Cheers and good luck!

Michaellllllllll read carefully, I mean "I am planning" to go country! For the time being i am rather in love with my new apartment in St Kilda! You are more welcome to visit any time you wish!. Only Met has seen it so far!
Cheers and good luck!

Hello everyone,

It is shocking but even my infallble memory sometimes goes askew, but of the results I can tell you definitely

1st Stewart Booth 5.5/6
2nd David Schepsi 4.5/6
=3rd Mark Bruere, Kevin Perrin 4/6, and perhaps Patrick Cook, and most likely Mario Zoppi

Kevin Perrin won the reserves category with his score

24 players participated

congratulations to Stewart and all that took part....hopefully EE will fill us in in the days to come.

Take care and God Bless, Macavity

PS regarding the memory comment, the above is from memory held of a conversation with tournament organiser John Lavery, which may be a bit incorrect, aside from the two outright places ( reserves and championships )
