ok peoples. I notice that the MCC weekender is on the same weekend as the nell van der graaf weekender. I intend to attend one of them.....

So I want people to give me reasons to/not to go to one or the other.

I can think of a couple at the moment

-Mcc tournament does not appear to be a GP event although the GC event is only a cat 1
-Mcc 5 rounds compared to GC 6

Even more- Gold Coast v Fitzroy

While the MCC event is 'only' 5 rounds, it is 60 + 30, compared to 6 rounds of 60 + 10 for NVDG

Come to Melbourne - and meet the melbourne chess crowd (including myself :) ) Melbourne people are friendlier - isn't it a good reason :)
