Congratulations Brian!

What an odd crosstable it is too; how often does 5/6 win a swiss outright, by a point, with none of the runners-up having a single draw?

I also note Haydn Barber's comment in the report:

SwissPerfect provided some entertainment by producing a bizarre draw for Round 5. I had to manually alter 6 of the 8 pairings, the first time that I personally have had to take such action.

:lol:I have checked it and SP has the round 5 draw clearly wrong.
However as is usually the case when the arbiter intervenes and do manual pairings, they still get it wrong.

The arbiter paired Tomic - Holland and Dunlop - Laugery.
The correct pairings were Dunlop - Tomic and Laugery - Holland.

Also in round 4 SP paired Jones - Donaldson, Holland - Vlietstra and Ellis - Dunlop.
The correct pairings were Ellis -Donaldson, Jones - Vlietstra and Holland Dunlop.

This therefore is a case where the arbiter didnt intervene in the pairings but should have as SP got it wrong. I suspect the reason why they didnt intervene is because the pirings looked ok.

Not only that but of the 48 games played there were only 4 draws: 10v11; 10v14; 14v15 and 14v16 (colours ignored).
