Chesschat freestyle tournament number 3- time to start another tournament.
Since the previous finished tournament was a human correspondence tournament, this one will be freestyle.
For those uncertain about what is freestyle chess:
Basically it is anything goes, computer engine use is legal. Database use is legal.

I'd be interested to see if my play is any less bad now that I have a less obsolete assistant (whether it would be a match for Rybka is another story).

I will, of course, organise another human corro tournament soon.
The last human corro finished recently, so am seeing how much interest there is for a freestyle tournament.
So far two entrants.

KB, looks like it is just us two. Any further takers, only need another two players. Surely a couple of others would like to give freestyle chess a go.

So KB, it looks like this tournament is going nowhere in a hurry. Would you like to play a four game match instead?

OK. Hopefully I will be more competitive with my upgraded silicon assistant and will not make any clerical errors!

I will create the four new games once the sub forums have been created. Have pm'ed RW about this.

Or we could just play the four-game match in the existing correspondence games area; it doesn't need a subforum of its own.

I was thinking that maybe after we get started that someone will want to join and play as a third person, or we might pick up a couple more entrants.

Fishing for new entries or surprised I haven't made any moves for several days?
Primary reason for the latter is I was away playing in Tas Champs all weekend and therefore offline. (I was online yesterday but there is always a massive backlog of stuff to be answered and forums to be read before I get back to my games.)

There will again be a few days break in moves from me over this weekend. Probably nothing Fri, Sat, Sun and maybe nothing Monday depending on how much I have to catch up on.

I was aware that you were at the Tas Champs, just thought a reminder was helpful.

May not be any more moves from me in the two remaining games until Tuesday (away again for the third weekend in a row).
