Hello everyone,

I am sorry for anyone who has been eagerly awaiting a report on what happened in this event; as the event did not proceed due to insufficient numbers, there is nothing to tell really.

I had great hopes for this event, but it seems that there is no interest in an event like this.

I ran a double round robin allegro for the four players who did turn up for the event, so that they got to play some chess.

Take care and God Bless, Macavity

I'm sorry to read your report, Malcolm. Marks to you and the MCC for attempting to promote a new style event.

Have you formed an opinion as to the reason for the poor response?
