I would say my life is complete on being cited by Dvoretsky (I only just found out about it tonight!), but people who say dumb things like that have a nasty habit of dropping dead on cue, and anyway, it isn't true.

White to move. Assess this position. What is white's best plan?

If you get stuck, http://www.chesscafe.com/text/dvoretsky68.pdf may help. :)

I remember that article. Korchnoi depth analysis! The punchline at the end is the kind of evaluation that I wrote a logic essay about once.

And big ups for being mentioned by Dvorestky!

Some positions just seem almost inexhaustibly rich. Miles and I were analysing that in 2001 - he wrote a column then I sent in some corrections. I had no idea it had been dug up again. There was another one I was contributing stuff to that Carsten Hansen was analysing, I think it was Morphy-Bird, where one of the crucial lines went to an endgame of king and four connected (and quite well advanced) passed pawns vs king and two rooks.
