Unrated Prize (minimum 6 entries).

Standard ratings will be used if Player has no rapid rating. Players must be rated under 2000 on rapid list. Unrated Players cannot win a Divisional prize. Based on 40 Seniors.

Venue: Collegians Leagues Club, Cnr Princess Hwy & Charlotte St, Wollongong

(10 min walk from Wollongong train station). Registration from 9.30am.

Entry Fee: Full $45. Pensioner/Concession $35. Junior (U18) $25.

Format: Swiss. 30 minutes each Player.

I'm afraid not. I'm not a big fan of 1 hour games let alone 30 minutes. ;)

But I'm getting plenty of non-chess stuff in: Time with the family, Dad's 71st Birthday, mow the grass, tennis and other Jammo like activities. :D

Good luck though. Looks like a good tournament with good prizemoney. I hope you get some of it.

Well, that other stuff is pretty important, so it's good that you have your priorities in order. I made the snap decision to play this weekend when I discovered that I had no commitments this weekend, and if at home, would spend my time pointlessly posting BB messages.

Indeed the prize money sounds impressive, and it would be a nice bonus to win some of it. But after all is said and done, I'm there for the chess, for the competition and the commeraderie. Anyway, enough with the cliches, I best be continuing to get busy doing the nothing I was doing before writing this post.
