I was tempted to play a 2.b3 that I have lately been playing in lightning- usually ends in interesting positions.Never played it in long chess though, so thought not.

When I play that line (for white or black) it usually tends to wind up in closed positions.

To deviate or not to deviate, that is the question. I think I might today.

Hey EE, I think you made a mistake. Nd5 leaves it open to attack from exd5, and I cannot see anything that will stop me from taking unless you want to take that move back (unless I made an error in piece placement in my analysis).

So, if your move was 7. Nd5, I play 7. ... exd5, unless you want to take it back.

Damn right I made a blue! Of course I meant 7... Nd4 ...lol

Looks like it's time I cashed in on my "take back" move offer against you. :-)

lol, thank you for being a gentleman! :-D

:-) Its only fair- you did me that favour in our last game, now I'm returning it. Now its back to the match.
