2021 MCC Boxing Day Blitz (Sunday - 26 Dec @ 1pm)

MCC will be holding a Blitz on Boxing Day to see out the year.

The tournament will be similar in format to the AFL Grand Final Blitz held in previous years (but not recently due to lockdowns).

2021 MCC Boxing Day Blitz

Venue: Melbourne Chess Club, 66 Leicester Street, Fitzroy

Date: Sunday 26 December 2021

Time: Starts at 1pm.

Format: 13 round blitz Swiss.

Time control: 3 mins + 2secs/move.

Entry fee: $12 for full member, $10 for concession/junior member. Add $10 for non-members.

Final blitz results:
12/13 proved to be insufficient not to lose Tornelo rating points :).
The highlight of the tournament is fantastic performance of Rheynash who scored a good win over me as well as 11/13 overall! Great play by the young talent!
