Clashes with Rounds 5, 6, & 7 of Vic rapid champs. (Rounds 1, 2, 3 & 4 to be played on previous Sunday Sep, 26 which also clashes with Rounds 6 & & of Vic Open) Please clarify!

Don't worry about it Carl. I will stick with the main tournaments ie Vic Open which I have already entered and the Senior which I will enter as soon as the announcement is made.
I will give the Vic Rapid Champs a miss.! Thanks for the info anyway! Cheers.

I assume at least 50+ in any case :). I say any case because I thought it would be like the FIDE World Championships for Seniors, with 50+ and 65+ categories because I thought it was the same for all of such championships (but it's not).

By the time the lockdowns gets over, all of us will probably be 50 + :)

Because of the slow vaccine rollout :wall:
(let's not get too off topic, though :))

I was told there are two categories, 50+ and 65+

I think due to lockdowns and, consequently, postponing of Vic Champ rounds future event might be rescheduled.

If the lockdowns continue, may be Vic Championship will be renamed into the Seniors championship.

I thought not everyone is old enough to participate in Senior events?

I am delighted that you have encouraged your University students to have such an interest in chess! :)
