Under 1750 FIDE Rapid
...
Must be under 1750 ACF to enter
Could you please clarify which of these is correct?

Tournament will be FIDE Rapid and QJ RatedAnd also ACF Rapid rated?

Could you please clarify which of these is correct?Im sure they are both correct.
It means the event is FIDE rated but the entry condition is the player must be rated U1750 ACF.

And also ACF Rapid rated? All FIDE rated events must be ACF rated.

Desmond

Im sure they are both correct.
It means the event is FIDE rated but the entry condition is the player must be rated U1750 ACF.I don't believe I have a FIDE rapid rating.
I would have an ACF one, but I don't know what it is. The ACF website gives a master list for classic ratings, but only an active list for Quick ratings.

All FIDE rated events must be ACF rated.
Thanks, that was what I had thought.

Congratulations to Nicholas Bond for winning the Chess People U1750 ACF FIDE Rapid on Sunday November 7 2021 by securing outright victory with a last round draw from a position of strength against Callum Gray in a hard fought, topsy turvy last round top board clash. Nicholas had already won his his first 6 games! Ian Li a had a top tournament as well with 6 wins and just 1 loss to finish outright 2nd - well done Ian! Callum, Joel Leong and Max Phillips also did pretty well to share 3rd place with 5.5/7. The Juniors certainly dominated over the Adults in this tournament, but this was no surprise to anyone. A big thank you to Brodie McClymont from Chess People for putting on this FIDE rated Rapid after having to postpone it from earlier in the year and all 53 players for playing all 7 rounds of this event and for playing fighting chess throughout. Thanks a million to FA David Esmonde for doing lots of the pre tournament work entering all the players into Vega, adding late entries on the day, doing all the pairings and sharing the final crosstable on Chesschat as well as broadcasting the top 6 boards of this Rapid Event virtually live at:

Anything the ACF webmaster doesn't do?

Mark does like to exaggerate.

Brodie, Josie, Allan Fossey, Tony Weller and the rest of the Redcliffe crew put in time and time again - in fact the only really noticeable feature missing on the weekend was the calm Horace!
