Greeting Everybody,
Monday night chess with Ballarat Chess Club.
Given the current restrictions on real world chess due to the pandemic the club has been running online meetup's on Monday nights. These have been a success and it has been decided to continue this as an ongoing fixture of the club even after we resume Covid normality at some point in the future.
Given the current pandemic the club has been running a Monday night Rapid Tournaments with faster time controls like the upcoming 10 5 Arena on chess.com.

The Monday night event will be the 1st week of a a new Chess League, the league has players divided into divisions but competing in a fun handicap ladder event. Details of which will be provided in the next addition to this thread.
The club has also been involved in the chess.com club's league. A league open to real world club's run on chess.com Season 2 is due to begin in November. Season 1 was a great success and the club thoroughly enjoyed the tournament. If you would like to be involved join the Ballarat Chess Club on chess.com

The club has held Simul's on lichess.com and online lectures via Zoom. The club's regular Thursday night calendar has also been open to it's online members and will continue to be in 2020 if real world chess activities continue to operate under lockdown conditions.
Anybody who wants to play chess with the club in any of the online activities mentioned above is welcome to join the club an online member. The online club is open to current full and online members. Anybody who wants to play chess with the club can join the club. Just request to join the club on chess.com
