With 128 entries will seven rounds define a true winner? Or not that important.

With 128 entries will seven rounds define a true winner? Or not that important.

All the stuff about given numbers of rounds determining or not determining a winner is nonsense because of draws. You can have a 6-round Swiss with hundreds of players and get a unique winner, you can have an 11-round Swiss with 30 players and get a five-way tie for first. There's nothing wrong with having joint winners in a Swiss if two players perform equally well. However, with 128 players, seven rounds is enough to be certain you won't get two winners with perfect scores. With any more than that, it isn't, unless acceleration is used. Any further discussion of this point will be moved.

Michael, in one of my tournaments an unknown dark horse from China wiped the field playing OTB so you never know. His name was Chen too.

Do you mean round 6 when M Baron V Igor? The drawn game. Baron won round 7.

No the last round, the claim is 20 Ng4 would have lead to a winning attack against Baron allowing Lekkas to win the tournament.

The claim is true. It's rather spectacular actually, the g5 knight is en prise to two different pawns but neither can take it.

Itís great to see Tornelo being upgraded so quickly to allow on-line tournaments to be played in these difficult times and congrats to MCC for providing this opportunity for members to keep playing. Itís even good for we spectators.
