Ian Rogers mentioned this on Twitter.

"Results of an extraordinary recent tournament in Peru, featuring five players named Jamieson, are here: chess-results.com/tnr490387.aspx… However according to FIDE VP Granda, the tournament run by IA Tacuche Martinez never happened! Past fake events have created norms, but why this one??"

Fortunately only one of jammo's opponents was rated.

I can't find any evidence this thing was ever registered or submitted for FIDE rating. Perhaps it's just some kind of test?

It appeared on chess-results.com so it is no indication that it was submitted to FIDE in the first place.

I will check at Chess Results under Peru tournaments when I have time to see if it has been listed there!

If you search for federation Peru not only does that one come up but also this one on the same date:

https://chess-results.com/tnr490422.aspx?lan=1

...which also looks like it's not a real tournament.

wow yes, I just noticed! I wonder why they do that!!!
btw we all know that Garcia, Torres and Perez are common Latin American surnames
but it looks like this one is a family affair. Ten Garcias, seven Torres give me a break! :D
After all what chance the Perez have with only three participants? :D
I have to eat my words! It was an unrated Perez who won the tournament equal first with a Torres (not the 2000 plus one) !!!
No surprise when clicking on the Official Homepage of the Organiser link you get "Hmmm...can’t reach this page"! :D

This whole fiasco reminds me of the World Wrestling Federation and their history of their Intercontential Championship (initially won by Pat Patterson in a "tournament in Brazil").
