The ACT Junior Chess League is hosting the 2019 Australian Schools Teams Chess Championships this weekend (30th November & 1st December) at Canberra Grammar School. This year, we have teams from VIC, QLD, NSW, SA, WA (three teams) and of course, the ACT.

You can find further details (including team lists and pairings) at the ASTC website: https://sites.google.com/view/2019-astc/home

For those interested in following the tournament, I'm planning on posting live results on the Results page via a Twitter feed (https://sites.google.com/view/2019-astc/results).

We also intend to broadcast one ‘feature match’ for each of the five rounds:http://tournaments.streetchess.net/ASTC2019/

Those Victorian high school teams are quite something! Hope the Qlders can upset them

Those Victorian high school teams are quite something! Hope the Qlders can upset themI think Qld is a good chance in the Senior Open - although Chuchie was upset in the GPS this year.

I'm a bit confused by the second set of ratings listed for each team. Why not FIDE ratings for everyone who has one? And NSWJCL ratings are not directly comparable with the other sets of ratings.

I've edited my post with the link to the live games (as well as pairings etc) but I'll also post it here:http://tournaments.streetchess.net/ASTC2019/

I think Qld is a good chance in the Senior Open - although Chuchie was upset in the GPS this year.It appears that being "less adventurous" (as I was described in the ACF Newsletter) has its advantages - Churchie did (very narrowly) win the Senior Open, although Victoria won everything else :)
