In association with BBC Painting and St Joseph's College Gregory Terrace, the Chess Association of Queensland presents the Queensland Championship.

Details:

Date: Oct 3rd-7th

Venue: St Joseph's College Gregory Terrace (Campbell Centre) Spring Hill, Brisbane.

Eligibility: Must be rated over 1600 ACF as of the September Rating list or 1700 FIDE as of the October Rating list.

Arbitering Team: IA Michael D’Arcy, FA Max Kershaw, NA David Esmonde, and NA Hughston Parle
Entry Details:

Format: 90 minutes + 30 seconds per move from the start (Fischer).
30 minute forfeit time from start of round.

Prizes: 1st: $1250 2nd: $500 3rd: $300 4th: $250 5th: $200
Rating Group A: $150 Junior: $100

Likewise, the Queensland U1600 ACF Championship will be running concurrently as a separate event from the 4th-6th October.
