Since no thread has been made of the event here is the details of the tournament:

3 Australians and 20 Kiwi's are playing in the event. A note that Australian Chess Federation Vice President, IM/IA/IO/FT Leonid Sandler is playing.

If the winner is IM already, no title for the winner I guess, otherwise..an IM title?

I don't believe there are any direct titles for this event. Continental Senior is a direct title event but I don't believe sub-continentals are.
