Here are the prizewinners from the 2019 Wendy Terry Memorial: 1st: Tony Zhong 5.5/6, =2nd Stephen Solomon, Brodie McClymont, Ben Peach and Charith Silva - all on 5/6, Rating Group A was won outright by Jason Chan with 5/6, Rating Group B was shared between no less than 9 players - Eason Wang, Kenny Ming, Diega Aldana, Jasper Moss, Peter Bender, Jonathan Jones, Allan Li, Phillip Mulholland and William Ilka, all with 3/6.
Rating Group C was won outright by Shafiuddin Aanan and Rating Group D was shared between 4 players - Benjamin Leong, Mica Young, Kris Allen and Sophia Ahern. The best unrated prize of a Chess Book went to Steven Gatt. It was an exciting last round with 4 players sharing the lead on 4.5/5 and only one of them won - Tony Zhong defeated Igor Paevskiy in a close, hard fought game and Stephen Solomon and Brodie McClymont drew in another fascinating battle. Max Kershaw did another top job as Arbiter and Gail Young once again generously added an extra Rating Group prize due to the great number of entries - 62 players in total! We now look forward to the next event in the F Block of Grace Lutheran College, Rothwell - the 54th consecutive Peninsula Open on Saturday June 1 and Sunday June 2!

Jason Chan should also be acknowledged for coming Equal Second in the tournament with 5/6, as well as winning Rating Group A all by himself! Well done Jason! I bet Tony Zhong is over the moon today for winning the tournament outright with the great score of 5.5/6! Congratulations Tony!

Thanks for the crosstable. A great performance by Nadula as well, even though he didn't win a prize.
