In a recent tournament in Nikolaev, a coach of the current Ukrainian champion started a fight against her opponent during a game. There is no more ridiculous reason for a fight - you can read details below (it is in Russian)...:doh:

However, what is outrageous is that they claim that this is the first ever fight during an official tournament game. We all know that this is a huge exaggeration...:)

The best part of the chess-news discussion - some of the posters move on to discuss position on the board at the time of the incident and do so in a fairly abusive (towards each other) manner...like if the position is relevant :)

It was a good year for infamous events, 2000. There was a fight and a court case and I joined the ACF Council. :lol:
