Rules:

Players Ratings were Scaled Linearly up/down to a combined Rating of 4000.
This was implemented due to feedback from last years event where it became clear that the a difference between a 2200 and a 1800 is not the same as a 1200 and a 800 rated player.
After rating scaling the players were advised there handicap based upon the new rating difference.
The Time Control was 5+0 and normal chess rules applied.

Feedback:
Players disliked queen odds and would rather play something along the lines of three minor odds
Players found that White always had a better opening in Exchange Odds as the B8 Knight was missing (Results Skewed to White)
Results were Skewed to the higher player when the rating difference was between 300-600
Despite the skew to the higher rated 701+, many games were decided on time. The higher rated players more often or not had greater time management abilities.
