The winner of the Womens Grand Prix 2015-6 is apparently supposed to play against the winner of a knockout World Champs in 2017, but that will mean two World Championships in either 2016 or 2017 which seems a bit silly.

First event is currently in progress and Hou Yifan leads Mariya Muzychuk and Humpy Koneru by a point with two to play. Hou and Mariya Muzychuk are yet to play.

Total domination by Hou!

I'm a bit confused. Are you asking how Hou is winning or who is Hou? In any case shouldn't it be whom? It's so hard when most of your words are misspelt anyway.

Sorry but your confusion is the last of my concerns. You may learn who Hou Yifan is one day...

It should also be noted that Australia's IA Anastasia Sorokina is Chief Arbiter of the event.

Hou Yifan wins with 9/11 with MM and Koneru a very distant equal second on 7. Hou did lose to Koneru though. Mariya is now #5 in the world on the live ratings, overtaking her sister Anna who had a poor tournament, as did Dzagnidze. Pia Cramling is now live #9 in the world at age 52; 16 years older than any other active female with a live rating over 2500.
