I think this year our team is not as strong as the last year one. Hopefully the guys will nevertheless perform solidly. On another note, amazing to see Palau team playing!

I was talking to Puccini on Facebook and we noticed that this team is actually 13 spots higher seeded than last year.
Board 1 Kethro is seeded 58th with a rating of 2020 and last year Ari Dale was seeded 66th at 2250.
Also Puccini was seed 88th with his 2190 rating whereas the 88th seed here is 1800

Cause Mongolia fielded so many teams...but it does not make the team any stronger :)

Palau is here with only three players as it is school term for them now and it was quite hard for them to find another player for them. Board 3 for Palau started playing chess at the age of 3 and is only 6 years old.

We are also working on the live games to be up and running along with some commentary as well streaming from the official website.

Australia won the match already against Russia 2 with still one game going. Result is 3-0 and Palau lost 4-0.

I am currently in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia at the moment.

A team like that definitely has potential to cause upsets, shame it couldn't happen.
I think it's everyone but anton's last year too.
