After 1 win each in the 4 main games, Aronian only won 2 of the 16 Blitz games - game 10 and the very last, which finished with QxR+ on g8 followed by Black resigning (he loses his Queen next move) - exactly the same finish that Max had in one of his Olympiad games.

Sorry for nitpicking. The PGN from http://www.theweekinchess.com/ has three wins. Not quite as one sided.

1: Nakamura, Hikaru 2767 gm 27 USA 9.5 / 16 1011==1==01===10 2862 +22 (+6 -3 =7)
2: Aronian, Levon 2797 gm 32 ARM 6.5 / 16 0100==0==10===01 2702 -22 (+3 -6 =7)

I enjoyed the two decisive classical games.

On the ChessDom site showing every individual game, it is indeed 9.5 - 6.5, but it's 5 -2 with 9 draws. One site has their figures out of whack.

It should be noted that this was a "friendly" match. So not too much should be read into the result. Nakamura has long been near top of the pack at the fast stuff. I expect Aronian to have a successful 2015.

My prediction is Lev is too rounded a guy to spend his life to become world champ.
