I'll be playing in this and I'm happy to run a blitz event afterwards if there is interest, which I'm sure there will be!

I wanted to play in this!
Unfortunately it clashes with the last round of the NPCC Spring Cup.
Meaning that at least a few strong NPCC players won't be able to make it as well!
I am not happy!

I will play in it of course!

Is there a reason you can't delay it til the week after? You may get more entries if you avoid a clash.

Noble Park also has a blitz event and its AGM the Saturday after.

It's just another Allegro (albeit the biggest one of the year). The Victorian chess calendar is getting crowded these days!!

These days we get over 30 people playing allegro every week so hopefully for this special event, we will get well over 40

Hi folks

Just a reminder that the MCC Allegro Champs is this Saturday! Yes, there will be a barbecue (as often happens during Allegro due to the work of Elizabeth Warren and Tony de Fazio).

We have also increased the prize money.

See you there!!

Must admit that Tornelo program is pretty nifty. No wonder it has taken off. Hoai Nam pulled off a good win.

Yes, Tornelo its rubbish. As for Nam, his true level of play is at least 2200 fide
