The Primary Open Semi-Finals will be played over 4 days:
Monday 20 October 9:30am - 3:00pm at the German Club, 291 Dandenong Road, Windsor
Tuesday 21 October 9:30am - 3:00pm at the German Club, 291 Dandenong Road, Windsor
Thursday 23 October 9:30am - 3:00pm at Glen Waverley Secondary College, O'Sullivan Road, Glen Waverley
Friday 24 October 9:30am - 3:00pm at Glen Waverley Secondary College, O'Sullivan Road, Glen Waverley.

Those schools qualifying from these semi-finals will played in the final on
Friday 7 November 9:30am - 3:00pm at Canterbury Juniors Chess Club, 3 Rochester Road, Canterbury.

In addition, the lower Primary Final (from prep - grade 3) will be played on
Friday 14 November 9:30am - 3:00pm at Canterbury Juniors Chess Club, 3 Rochester Road, Canterbury.

Meanwhile, Melbourne High finished first in the 2014 Chess Victoria Inter-School Secondary Open Final Chess Championship played on Monday 13 October at Brighton Grammar School, ahead of Balwyn High (second) and Glen Waverley Secondary College (third). 156 players from 26 schools took part.

Presbyterian Ladies College finished first in the 2014 Chess Victoria Inter-School Secondary Girls Final Chess Championship played on Tuesday 14 October at Lauriston Girls School, ahead of MacRobertson Girls (second) and Glen Waverley Secondary College (third). 87 players from 15 schools took part.

Mount View Primary School finished first in the 2014 Chess Victoria Inter-School Primary Girls Final Chess Championship played on Tuesday 14 October at Lauriston Girls School, ahead of Balwyn North Primary (second) with St. Andrews Christian College third (on countback from Waverley Christian College). 96 players from 24 schools took part.

Mount View Primary School is the champion school of the 2014 Chess Victoria Inter-school Primary Open Final and will be representing Victoria in the coming Australian Schools Team Chess Championship to be played at Prince Alfred College, 23 Dequetteville Terrace, Kent Town, South Australia on 6 and 7 December 2014.

They finished first with 30.5 game points out of a possible 35 points, ahead of second placed Waverley Christian College with 27.5 points and Deepdene and Alphington Primary Schools, both with 19.5 points.
