Greg Hjorth - A Great Talent Wasted on Mathematics

As part of the MCC Hjorth Open, Ian Rogers will be giving a lecture titled "Greg Hjorth - A Great Talent Wasted on Mathematics" on Saturday 1st November from 7.30pm at the MCC (66 Leicester St, Fitzroy).

The lecture will start at 7.30pm (or when the last game from round 3 finishes). You are welcome to come even if you are not playing in the Hjorth Open.

Games may still be playing so please be quiet in the venue when you first arrive.

If you are playing in the tournament then you are welcome to join us for free pizza at 7pm. Again please respect the need for silence if games are still playing (or talk outside).

I do not think so, so you better come to Melbourne and play in Hjorth Memorial

The plan is to video it and put it up on MCC youtube channel. However all this relies on volunteer work and busy schedules of people doing the work, so we cannot make any commitment as to when and if it will become available to see on the Internet. Once it is on youtube then I am sure we will add a link to it on Chess Chat.

You don't have to play in the Hjorth to see the lecture. Same goes for Guy West's lecture.
