Yes for the highest ratings in an individual period Capa and Fischer are equal 1st at 2921 with Kasparov next at 2899.

Looking at the results, the only real suprise to me is:
number 6. Viswanathan Anand
I guess he still has not recieved the respect he deserves. Somehow he is not a chess 'legend' like I would rate all of the others. For whatever reason, perhaps because he is still to reach his playing peak?

Vishy is playing as well as anyone at the moment, just that he is out of the picture for a while because of reunification. Also the top players dont all meet each other often enough, so it is tough to gauge his true level relative to previous eras.

That really is the difference between todays best players and the best of past eras.
