To the chess community,

I am currently in Glasgow, Scotland for the Commonwealth Championships as an arbiter of the event and can confirm that FM Justin Tan is the representative for Australia. Having spoke to the chief arbiter of the event, I can say that there should be around 30 boards available for the event for live broadcasting, however there could be more. Once I know the link for the live games I will post it for everyone to follow.

How can Adamski still has not wished good luck to all the participants? I better do it in case he does not notice this thread. Also let me know when the tournament gets over, I will congratulate all the winners :)

Great to see Justin Tan playing good chess in UK. I played him several times in Allegro while he was still in Melbourne and it was easy to notice his chess was improving rapidly.

Justin Tan lost to WGM in round 8 and is on 4.5/8 only. Puchen Wang is on 5.5/8 ...but also performing a bit below his rating.

Both Puchen and Justine won their last round games and finished on 6.5 and 5.5 respectively

A reasonable performance by Puchen in the end against stiff competition.

Agreed, and Justin almost managed a GM norm in English Interclub so also improving.
