You both must be very wise chess players indeed.

I was wondering about using this book as a monitor stand, does this make your computer software play any stronger at all?

infused through the base of the monitor via the mining 1 book is the vast wisdom that indeed enables all computer software to achieve an equivalent rating of 2800.

this book gets 5 stars as a monitor stand !!

So is it signed by the book's author ?
A certain muppet ?
... Or by Beaker's dog on page 3, 5, 10 and 23 ?

it will possibly be signed by an "erik shiller" in a style of writing closely resembling mine.

if not ill see if the local stray tabby that mewls in the middle of the night out the back of my house can accommodate a scrawling or 2 on a few random pages.

### please note - the book is the only prize as postage costs are prohibitive to send the rest of the other crap. if however the winner wishes to swap the book for one of the other mentioned items then this is fine.

I'm really hoping for that boat anchor CRT monitor, are you just going to stick a few 60c stamps on it and see what happens?

if you like, i could pop it in a garbage bag to protect it from the rain with a couple of stamps on it and leave it next to my nearest post box. the posty will know what to do next.

maybe if i was earning $250000 a year i might be rich enough to pay the actual postage for the oversized brick, but as we all know anything under that amount is povo class.
