Apparently today is the second World Tau Day. Tau being an alledged replacement for that constant that we all know, pi. The Tau manifesto released exactly 1 year ago is available here, http://tauday.com/

And for Scott:-

Both the Ancient Egyptians and the Babylonians are known to have known the value of pi with about a 1 per cent error, and an approximation appears in the Bible.

If this is true, is that approximation an example of an error in the Bible?

The Bible never gives a value for pi, but it does give measurements for a vessel, circular that seem to give a value of pi = 3. It is explained in this link, http://www.purplemath.com/modules/bibleval.htm There are plenty of other links if you do a search in google.

See Does the Bible say pi equals 3.0? (http://creation.com/does-the-bible-say-pi-equals-3) Check out this maths forum (http://mathforum.org/library/drmath/view/52573.html) where mathematics Ph.D.s take apart an atheopath's attack on the Bible on this issue.
