Good luck, David, but in what sense are you a "rookie"? You were playing competitively in the North Island when I was a young kid!! And not just the BDG!

We have a large number of players from emerging juniors up to International Masters. We put adults in the field to give the juniors the experience of playing against adults. Some very strong Victorian players started their tournaments playing in the rookies.

I have not been playing the BDG very often for some time. I would not recommend it to anyone unless they have the book by Scheerer. He patches up the two lines that I thought refuted the BDG.
