A new chess club started in September in St Albans.

Westvale Community Centre, 45 Kings Rd, St Albans
Thursday at 7.30pm
No cost involved.

I have been attending for 2 weeks and i think anyone interested in coming should give it a try. It is a good venue, tea and coffee and easy parking.
At the moment numbers are few so what we really need are more members.

You can obtain more info from the Westvale Community Centre, 9367 6647.
or post here and i will try to answer your queries.

No Web page or calendar.
The club has been running for a few months and numbers are too few to worry much about a web page or calendar.
At the moment our chess is purely social chess, find an opponent sit down and play. When numbers pick up i would think more varied activities would be introduced and a calendar done.
I could give the same reason for not having a website.

At the moment our main way of informing the chess community is through this thread.
