Weekend Chess Squads - info and flyer
As many here may know, Northern Star Chess is a proud sponsor of the 2011 Australian Junior Chess Championships.

With the Australian Juniors in mind, they are hosting a series of weekend chess squads in Melbourne from mid November until the end of the school year to assist strong school level chess players make the transition into tournament chess.

From the 13th November, six Saturday sessions will be run by Jamie Cross in Eltham (Head Coach at NSC and Croydon CC.)
From the 14th November five Sunday sessions will be run by FIDE Master Bill Jordan in Croydon (highly experienced tournament player and coach.)

If anyone out there knows of any keen junior chessplayers who would love to get into club chess and/or prepare for the Australian Juniors in particular, these squads will be perfect for them.
