Date and Venue: Sunday 12th December Qld Contract Bridge Club

This special and important CAQ fixture is now in its 9th year.
Certainly the most entertaining event on the CAQ calendar, the QTC offers clubs the opportunity to fight hard and fair for boasting rights for the next 12 months.
Clubs are strongly urged to participate with the prospect of board prizes for all, and colour coded attire to enhance team spirit.
CAQ has decided to return to the pure interclub format, which now means there are player eligibility rules to try and ensure that each club player is actually from that club.

With respect to C could you define "completed". Is 5 rounds of a 7 round comp enough? Is 4?

We did have a tough time trying to get the correct wording, but the basic intent is that we want those who have supported the club they are playing for during the year.

Basically, no ring ins.

With Amir being so helpful at the WTM, I wonder if KOC will be sending a team or teams to this tournament :hmm:

This thread is for the Qld Teams which is on this Sunday.

Does anyone know how many teams have entered ? And from which clubs ?

Brodie tells me he is board 1 for Redcliffe. With Solo in Melbourne Brodie must be just about the #1 ranked player competing*

Cheers
Garrett.

* considering the tight rules for player participation.

In the Premier Division:

Bullwinkle
Gardiner Chess
Brisbane
Redcliffe

Adult Second Division:

Logan
Bullwinkle
Brisbane
Redcliffe

Junior Division:

Brisbane
Redcliffe
Gardiner Chess
Toowoomba

I am not keen on revealing who is playing for which team at this stage as some clubs are still forming their teams. Once all teams have confirmed their individual players, then I will put them up.

Craig is very disappointed by the barring of Bullwinkle from the Premier Division. All players had played for the club before so he doesn't know what the problem was. Surely there can be some flexibility in team selection so that everyone can have a good game of chess. Don't we want to encourage more people to play chess? :hmm:
