Fortunately that book is sufficiently obscure that it is probably not in common circulation. I have never seen a copy - unlike some other bad works and authors that are far too readily available even in non-chess bookstores.

On another level, it's further good publicity for Chess Made Easy!

Sounds unbelievably bad and of course plagiarissing Purdy and Koshnitsky extremely heavily. Sounds like those publishers don't do any proofreading.

the possibility that there is a chess author worse than eric schiller is truly staggering.

This is really terrible. This book is an Australian classic which has sold many, many copies (over 1 million copies I believe)

Is John Purdy and Evelyn Kosh aware of this?

Does anyone have a copy of this book so it can be compared?

I agree with Brendan, these guys need to be sued.

Carsten Hansen's review of "In Your Face Chess Novelties" by Andrew Tocher makes me wonder if there is another contender for the title or if the whole thing is simply an enormous joke:

(On the bright side, the column also includes annotation of a win by Arianne Caoili against veteran GM Velimirovic from the "Snowdrops - Oldhands" match in the last few weeks.)
